Eleanor Care Headquarters

Moving its headquarters to a new larger office provided Eleanor Care with the opportunity to create a bespoke space that reflects its personality. Rype Office designed and fitted out the office, including painting and decorating, blinds, flooring and furniture.

Health and Wellbeing

To look after staff and visitors, Eleanor Care chose fully ergonomically adjustable desk chairs and comfortable meeting and breakout seating. Choosing remanufactured furniture ensured that toxic volatile organic compounds, like formaldehyde, are absent from the furniture, having off-gassed in the furniture’s previous lives.

Colour

Reflecting Eleanor Care’s multi-coloured logo and fresh approach to healthcare, the lift lobby provides a bright welcoming experience for staff and visitors. A selection of these colours are continued in the main walkway which leads visitors to the Boardroom.

Value-for-money

High quality Giroflex desk chairs, Vitra and Wilkhahn meeting chairs and Herman Miller desks were remanufactured for the office, providing comfort and style at an affordable price. Much of the flooring was reused or reclaimed, creating further savings.

Sustainability

Consistent with Eleanor Care’s concern for the community, reuse and remanufacturing reduced the environmental impact of the fitout by around two thirds compared to using furniture and flooring from virgin resources. The booth in the kitchen area was made by the Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind.
