Rype’s Net Zero Carbon Fit-out Process

A two year collaboration between British Land, Lendlease, JLL, VINCI Facilities, TP Bennett, The Carbon Trust, led by Rype has resulted in a ground-breaking process to drive carbon reduction through all stages of a building fit-out’s development.

The process provides additional actions at each stage of the RIBA Plan of Work, ensuring that Net Zero Carbon ambitions are realised through design and implementation.

Our approach to carbon reduction is independent and fact-based, enabling prioritisation of the largest sources of carbon emissions that can reduced at the lowest cost without compromising on the fit-out design.

A high level summary of our process is shown below. Achieving Net Zero Carbon will require rigorous application of this process over multiple fit-out lives. And we can advise and assist at all stages.
