Landmark Building lobby, Manchester
The award-winning Landmark building on St Peter’s Square in Manchester chose lobby furniture consistent with its environmental credentials.
The 14-storey building has achieved BREEAM Excellent, EPC A rating, and WiredScore Platinum certification.
Building Sustainability
The BREEAM Excellent building, with solar panels, biomethane, high thermal performance glazing and rooftop bird boxes and beehives, is one of the most sustainable in the city and is home to JLL’s North West office.
The building provides 180,000 square feet of office space, as well as a gym, café, electric vehicle charging, cycle storage and pool bicycles for occupier use.
Furniture Credentials
The remanufactured furniture provided by Rype saved 240kgCO2e of carbon emissions compared to furniture made from virgin resources.
It includes premium Vitra Softshell chairs made affordable and sustainable thanks to remanufacturing.
The high table tops are made in the UK from tens of thousands of recycled post-consumer yoghurt pots.
