Space Saving Office Design for DKLM

In late 2016, the office of DKLM LLP in London’s fashionable Shoreditch was filled to capacity. To enable an increase in staff numbers without having to move offices, a space saving office design and resizing of furniture was needed.

To achieve this cost-effectively, Managing Partner Alan Dixon sought the assistance of Rype Office for office design, to remanufacture DKLM’s existing furniture, and to provide high quality additional furniture.

Through space saving office design, an additional 15% of desks were fitted comfortably into the refurbished floors, as well as additional file storage space.

Remanufacturing also improved the sustainability of the refit, resulting in approximately 60% less environmental footprint than all new furniture, including embodied greenhouse gas emissions.

Staff are enjoying the ergonomic chairs, which provide back relief during long working days.
