Third Bridge’s New Office

To accommodate its rapid growth, Third Bridge took on additional space in London’s fashionable Shoreditch.

To furnish the office, Office & Facilities Manager Amber Gardner sought the same ergonomic desk chairs as in the head office, as well as meeting room furniture to create a modern, professional look within an iconic loft space.

Working collaboratively with Rype Office, stylish and highly sustainable furniture was chosen:

  • 50 desk chairs identical to those in Third Bridge’s head office were sourced in good condition from the used furniture market, remanufactured and installed, with wheels converted to soft castors better suited to the timber floors.
  • 5 meeting room tables were remanufactured and installed using high quality Vitra frames, with new tops in Third Bridge’s preferred colours and holes cut to precisely fit power and data boxes. These tables were sized especially to fit the meeting rooms.
  • Meeting room bench seat cushions were recovered in a blue 100% recycled hard-wearing fabric to suit Third Bridge’s colour palette
  • 34 Vitra Visavis meeting chairs were sourced and remanufactured to Third Bridge’s specification.

The result is a wonderful workspace combining the charm of an historical loft with ergonomic, chic modern furniture costing less than half the new list price.
